Reed switch application in construction (safety and metering)

Deep hole liquid detection probe

A reed switch based on a reed switch is mounted on a perforated plate that surrounds the float assembly and can be used as a depth probe. The perforated plate of the float assembly moving left and right prevents the solids from deactivating the float and allows the liquid to easily infiltrate and activate the float.


 




 


Door and window security

The magnet and the reed sensor can be installed on the door and window in the holder to detect the door window switch. Floor detection in elevators and lifts

Crane and forklift end position sensing

Cranes and forklifts move heavy objects through hydraulic cylinders and pistons. The reed sensor can be used to sense the end position and middle position of the piston and the cylinder, and the detection data signal is used to control the hydraulic cylinder and the piston through the proportional pressure control valve.


Emergency lamp holder

When the emergency light is removed, the buzzer starts to sound. The lamp itself contains a small magnet and a normally closed reed sensor and is mounted on the bracket. As long as the lamp is on the stand, the buzzer circuit remains open. When the emergency light is turned off, the reed sensor and the circuit that triggers the buzzer are also turned off.


Power switch for explosive areas

The structure of the reed switch is sealed and is not affected by the atmosphere and the surrounding environment. Also, the magnet can be opened/closed by sliding the switch, so it is suitable for working in flammable and explosive places. For example, in mines where arcs may cause explosions. Based on Reed Switch Reed Relays are also higher load switches that can be used in flammable and explosive locations.


Magnet Extensometer

Reed switches are used in magnet extension probes to monitor the settlement and uplift of construction sites, dams, excavations, mines and tunnels. Blower and vacuum tube efficiency

In the blower and vacuum duct, a tiny photo-magnetic magnet is embedded in the vanes mounted in the air flow duct. A reed sensor is installed outside the pipe. The wind vane that holds the rated flow of the air lift is close to the reed sensor. If the speed of blowing or suction drops, due to the dust collected in the filter, the reed sensor does not start. This signal is used to trigger a "filter change" LED.


Adjustable chair and bed

Adjust the tilt and height of the chair and bed through the electronic control using a reed sensor to detect the middle and end positions. The magnet is mounted on the moving part and the reed sensor is installed on the stationary part. These induced voltages are very low, so there is no risk of electric shock.


Tamper-resistant instruments

Electric meters, water meters, gas meters use the panel cover of the reed sensor to prevent unauthorized opening. The reed sensor is mounted inside the housing and the housing surface uses a magnet. If the meter cover is opened, the reed switch opens and closes the meter. Only service personnel can use an adapter to insert the system to reset the meter.


Water tank control

A reed switch based on a reed switch is used to control the pump and it fills the tank. Two float switches are installed in the tank to detect tank emptying level and overflow level. These signals to the controller, when the water level of the tank reaches the near empty point, the water pump switch is turned on and the water tank is filled. The apartment is equipped with a common all-residential tank block, which is particularly useful. Care should be taken to protect the controller that runs long wires from the float switch caused by the electrostatic capacitance of the reed switch.
